Premier League games don’t come much bigger than this as fourth-place Arsenal welcome title-chasing Liverpool to the Emirates.
After Manchester City’s goalless draw at Crystal Palace on Monday night, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds will be desperate to win their game in hand and move to within one point of the league leaders, but face an in-form Gunners who have form for troubling the Merseysiders this season.
The teams are in and Arsenal are unchanged from the side that beat Leicester 2-0 at the weekend. Captain Alexandre Lacazette will once again lead the line up front, with a youthful supporting cast of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli playing just behind the Frenchman. Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale are two England hopefuls wanting to impress with an international break coming next week. Emile Smith Rowe starts on the bench.
For Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp makes two changes from their weekend defeat of Brighton, with Thiago replacing Naby Keita in midfield and Diogo Jota coming in for Mo Salah in the front three. The Reds’ Egyptian King had been carrying a knock and will have to make do with a place on the bench, alongside Roberto Firmino. Sadio Mane, Luis Diaz and Virgil van Dijk all start.
