A place in the Europa League semi-finals is up for grabs when Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt face off at the Camp Nou live on Kilamiti this night.
Last week’s opening leg fixture between Barcelona and Frankfurt, the first between the sides, saw them play out a 1-1 draw at Deutsche Bank Park. Ansgar Knauff scored the only goal for the hosts in the 48th minute. Ferran Torres scored the only goal for the La Liga club in the 66th minute.
Barça have only failed to progress from one of their last six knockout stage ties in European competition when avoiding defeat in the first leg, with that elimination coming against Liverpool – the eventual winners – in the Champions League semi-finals in 2018/19 (3-0 in first leg, 0-4 in second leg).
As for Frankfurt they are unbeaten in their last nine games against Spanish sides in European competition (five wins and four draws), including the last four away from home (three wins and one draw) – they won 2-1 away to Real Betis in the previous round this season.
